SeniorNet Whangarei Inc was first opened in 1997 by the Northland Business Development Trust. We are a non-profit, voluntary society which operates independently and is community based. Our Club is a member of the SeniorNet Federation of New Zealand. At SeniorNet Whangarei we aim to create a friendly environment for our students to learn in with others of a similar age.

At present we are running courses using both the Microsoft operating system and the Apple Mac operating system. You can download an application form by clicking on the link: APPLICATION FORM

Every month a NEWSLETTER is sent out to all our members by email, or you can read it on-line by clicking on the newsletter button.

A general meeting is held on the first Thursday of every month at The Trinity Church Hall, (used to be called Tikipunga Uniting Church) 4 Otuhiwai Crescent Tikipunga (corner of Otuhiwai Cres and Kiripaka Road) at 1pm. Parking is a premium but you can park in front of the Hall, by the ramp on the grass and on the HALL SIDE ONLY as there is NO PARKING ALLOWED ON BOTH SIDES. A guest speaker is usually arranged and is always followed with a cuppa and a chance to catch up with others for a chat. This meeting is open to everyone so please come along and join us and bring a friend too.

On the second Friday of every alternate month we have a Discussion and Help afternoon which is held at the Learning Centre from 1 – 3pm. Members and prospective members are invited to come and chat to the tutors that are on hand about any problems they might be having. This is also open to the public so feel free to drop in and see us and best of all it is free. Check out the newsletter to see details.
